THE CLUB

HISTORY

In 2001, following months, of chasing scarcely available funding, Harworth and Bircotes BMX Club were donated a section of land by CISWO on which to build a brand new, dedicated, national standard BMX race track. Further funding came in from several sources and construction work started in June 2001 on the current plot of land where the home of Harworth Hurricanes BMX Club still stands.

Thanks to additional funding several modifications have taken place since its initial development to help bring the track up to modern British Cycling Federation standards and in line with other national tracks. The current track layout has remained more or less the same for nearly five years.
